Selanjutnya Carl Vinston akan menggantikan tugas George HW Bush untuk mendukung serangan ke ISIS Irak dan Suriah. Sementa George HW Bush akan segera berangkat ke homeport di Norfolk untuk melakukan pemeliharaan.
